Butterfly Field

These translucent kevlar wings were commissioned as a measure to scare birds from the vineyards at Stags’ Leap Winery in the Napa Valley.

The abstract butterflies oscillated rhythmically with wind movement over 1/2 mile. (Installation & fabrication assistance by Joseph Felber, J&J Forge).
